Markets, pricing, operational coordination, and coupled systems

Market signals in system dynamics and operational decisions

How market signals, pricing rules, and economic incentives shape the behaviour and operation of coupled energy systems.

This project direction studies how prices and market mechanisms enter system dynamics and operational choices in coupled electricity-heating systems. The work spans pricing design, market-aware dispatch, and the interaction between economic signals and engineering constraints.
